Such artists have X-ray eyes, and can see through all of that cloddish substance that passes for "the deep and profound" these days. The "blood and guts" of horror provides for their "organic needs," while the “cold steel” of Sci-fic provides for their “inorganic needs.”
These artists tend toward the emotive, while also tending toward the perceptive.
Some landmarks of Sci-fic Horror are; Alien, The Brood (Matthew Barney’s favorite movie), Cube (movie about entropy), The Thing, The Faculty (teen-science film), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (interesting metallic machine), 2001: A Space Odyssey, Event Horizon (very sickening), Aliens.
This is Ripley, last survivor of the Nostromo, signing off.
Come on, cat.
